Mission: Through collaborative research ARGO strives to generate data for regional evidence based management recommendations, explore prevention and early detection strategies, increase access to cancer care and improve cancer care training in rural and under-served communities in low-and middle-income countries. It does this through laboratory and clinical research, and the training of scientists, physicians and other healthcare workers. The ARGO Consortium was established in 2013 by Dr. Peter Kingham of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York, U.S.A. and Dr. Olusegun Alatise of the Obafemi Awolowo University Hospital in Ile-Ife, Nigeria. It is a National Cancer Institute consortium in Africa.

Job Posting Title: Application developer (Contract)

Job Description Summary: ARGO is seeking a versatile and experienced application developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal individual will work closely with an international multidisciplinary team, including a clinical informaticist, physicians and clinical research specialists to design
and develop cross-browser applications of medical reporting templates. You will have skills for backend integration to a database as well as knowledge of current user interface principles.

Job Description/Project Duration:
Time: This is project-based employment for a duration of 3 months with options to extend.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to define, scope, design, develop and successfully launch advanced applications according to specifications.
• Be responsible to write high-quality source code required to program applications within deadlines.
• Accurately document technical design, issues, solutions, and tips & tricks. Maintain good documentation aids, knowledge transfer, and team communication.
• Continually research, evaluate, and apply new technologies to maximize development efficiency and improve application performance across devices.
• Participate in testing, rapid bug fixes and quality assurance as well as making necessary updates to ensure the application is up-to-date and meets customer needs.

• Experience in a remote software environment developing and delivering Flutter based apps
• Knowledge of programming languages.
• Proficiency in Flutter framework and Dart language
• Experience third party APIs and mobile libraries for networking.
• Strong problem-solving and excellent time management skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with building apps and software for healthcare is a bonus.
